What pest control actually costs here

Search this question and you'll get vague ranges and "request a quote" buttons — because almost nobody in this industry publishes a price. We do. Here are the real 2026 numbers for Tampa Bay & Orlando, the same ones our own techs see.

What the "call for a quote" companies actually charge

We analyzed a real, signed 2026 service agreement from a national door-knock pest company. The math inside it: $60/month for exterior-only treatment, visits every 50–80 days (about six a year), a 12-month commitment with a $199 charge to leave early, a $399 initial fee "discounted" at signing, the right to raise your rate 10% every year after the first term — and German cockroaches and mosquitoes both excluded from the base plan. That's $720/year for less coverage than our $476/year pest plan — which works out to $39.67 a month against their $60, interior included. The full comparison is on our homepage.

The two things that honestly change the price

Home size: published prices cover typical single-family homes; over roughly 4,000 sq ft takes more product and time, so it's quoted individually. Severe existing infestations: an established German-roach or flea problem sometimes needs extra initial visits. In both cases you hear it before any work begins — never on the invoice after.

What should make you suspicious

A "free inspection" that always finds an emergency. A first-visit price that doubles at renewal. A discount that costs $199 to walk away from. Termite treatment quoted over the phone without an inspection. Any price that changes when they see your neighborhood.
