Garden Pests hornworms, armyworms & co.

When leaves vanish overnight, the eater is usually still there — hornworms the size of your finger, armyworm outbreaks after summer rain, or beetles working the canopy while you sleep. Garden damage is a lawn-and-landscape problem, and it responds fast to targeted treatment.

Signs you have them

  • Leaves stripped to stems overnight
  • Ragged chew holes across vegetable beds
  • Green droppings on leaves below the damage
  • Brown patches spreading across the lawn in late summer (armyworms)

What you can do today, free

  • Hand-pick hornworms at dusk with a flashlight — they glow under UV
  • Leave a hornworm wearing white cocoons alone: those are parasitic wasps finishing the job for free
  • Water lawns in the morning, not evening, to slow fungal + pest pressure
